Peridot is recognized as the birthstone for the month of August. I wanted to find out exactly what this particular stone was so I “googled” it of course. I was surprised to learn that wearing peridot jewelry was supposed to bring the wearer success, peace, and good luck. Perhaps I too will wear the peridot stone, LOL. My mom was an August baby and wore a lot of peridot jewelry. In fact, she had an entire collection of peridot rings, pendants, earrings and, even a bracelet.
